Instructions

Regrettably, elephants involve a lot of scissor work; still, the sleeve is useful for making the legs and underbelly. The center finder is useful for making staple holes when (i) you want to attach the underbelly panels to its opposite panel with staples or (ii) you want to attach the ears to the head.

It's a bit complicated to explain exactly how to make this, so I'll let the video do the job. [You may need to hit "pause" or rewind repeatedly as you watch, if you're trying to learn it or if you are following along as you make one.]

You'll notice that I've put a lid on the top. That's a secret compartment for passing messages that are either inserted in the cavity or written on the underside of the lid.

The lid-less elephant makes a nice melting dish for fragrant hot wax.
